Adult Learner Resource Fair

Saturday, September 18, 2021
12:30 PM - 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time
Location: FSW Thomas Edison (Lee) Campus (Fort Myers, FL; Main Campus)

Description:

Are you interested in returning to college, but are not a traditional student because you are over the age of 22, married, have dependents, a veteran, working full-time, or have life circumstances that make returning to school a challenge? If so, the Adult Learner Resource Fair at FSW could be an ideal opportunity for you to take the first step to determining how to find that balance. During this event scheduled for Saturday, September 18 from 12:30 – 2:30 you have the chance to explore FSW resources with representatives from Admissions, Academic Advising & Support Services, Financial Aid, and a variety of other departments, along with external vendors such as Lee Tran and Vocational Rehab. In addition, we will provide two information sessions that may be of interest to you as you consider how college might fit in your life. Session topics and times are as follows:

  • 12:45 – FSW 101 – Has it been awhile since you’ve thought about going to school? Attend this session to get basic college knowledge to help you get started.
  • 1:30 – Balancing Act – Not sure how to balance your job, family, and school? It can be done and the presenters at this session will share tips to help you make it work.

Attendees will receive a promo code to apply for free and participants are encouraged to bring their families as there will be games on the lawn, popcorn, and sno cones. Free tickets to the FSW women’s volleyball beginning at 2 pm will also be available to the attendees and their families at the check-in table.
